"To Die For" Baby Back Ribs

"To Die For" Baby Back Ribs

Serves 4-6

Ingredients

Tools

  •  4 large pieces of aluminum foil
  • cookie sheet

Ingredients

  • 2 racks baby back ribs (ask butcher to remove membrane)
  • Generous portion of your favorite BBQ sauce (homemade or store bought)

Bobby Flay's Rib Rub

  • 2 tablespoon cumin
  • 2 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoon granulated garlic
  • 2 tablespoon granulated onion
  • 2 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoon white pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 225 degrees F
  2. Combine all rub ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
  3. Pack dry rub onto both sides of racks. Store leftover rub in an airtight container to use another time (could be used for pork shoulder etc.)
  4. Saran wrap racks and refrigerate for 30 minutes until an hour.
  5. Remove ribs from fridge and wrap each rack  in two pieces of aluminum foil making a pocket, crimping the sides of the foil to ensure ribs are not exposed and avoiding any leakage
  6. Place side by side on cookie sheet
  7. Bake for 4 hours uninterrupted
  8. Uncover top foil and generously brush or pour on favorite BBQ sauce
  9. Grill over medium heat for 5 minutes or broil in oven for 2 minutes just to carmelise the ribs ever so slightly (If using grill, be careful transferring the ribs to and from as they will be so tender they will almost fall apart)
  10. Using a sharp knife cut the rack into 2 rib increments for easy serving
